Association ESE submitted the Joint submission on health to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural rights (ICESCR)

The Association for emancipation, solidarity and equality of women– ESE, in cooperation with 9 other organizations of citizens with support of the Open Society Foundation, New York and Macedonia, prepared and submited Joint submission on health to highlight the problems associated with non-fulfillment of the Right to health (article 12 of the International Treaty on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and General comment no.14) by several vulnerable groups: Roma people, people living with HIV/AIDS, drug users, women, people with rare diseases, people with intellectual disability and victims of trafficking in human beings. At the same time, the realization of the right to health of women and Roma has been analyzed in this submission from the perspective of the application of article 2.1 of the Treaty- Maximum Use of available resources. The Submission aims at contributing to the consideration and formulation of the List of issues at the Committee‘s Pre-Sessional Working group in October, and to raise questions to the Government of RM for the fulfillment  the right to health as regulated in the Covenant.
